Different unions of central government employees have been demanding for a long time that besides increasing the DA to 100%, the central govt. should merge the DA with the basic pay due to the inflation and
da merger with basic in 7th cpc
hike of price of essential commodities. Now as merger of 50% DA with basic, it will result to hike in salary by 30-35%. Earlier 50% DA had been merged with basic in 5th Pay Commission, but same thing was not considered in 6th CPC.

Now 10% DA was announced earlier which was effective from 01.07.2013 and it can be expected that next DA will not be below 10% that causes hike of DA from 90% to 100%. The official notice will be available soon. Stay tuned!
